Dysphoria: The Host
Dysphoria: The Host exposes mental disorder as an entity within a host; the person. Once identified, the focus shifts from the person to the disease. Here the internal concealment of mental health disorder is unveiled to reveal the insidious tendrils the illness forces into every facet of the host’s being. It also hints at how the disease can overtake and destroy.
Dysphoria: The Host is a narrative of grotesque implications. The body overshadowed by the constant presence of malady is contorted and trapped within the walls of psychological turmoil. The person fades into blackness; diminished by the wounding disorder which grows dominant. The grotesque wounds threaten to become final wounds.
